We had taken this tour years ago, like 10 yrs. and we have even sent friends as well, senior citizens and was exited to see it was still operating, our pre-teenagers drivers boys even thought it was the highlife of their day, soon to be Eagle Scouts, liked it.

This is a great way for kids to see the Golden Gate Bridge and travel in an old fashioned fire truck. In addition, the location where they stop in Sausalito is wonderful for picture taking. Really a different and fun tour.

I have taken several tours of San Francisco - this was a really good tour. Too bad it was FREEZING! Our guide was very personable and engaging. He handled a young passenger very well, keeping her interested for the entire 3 hours. The sites are, as always spectular, but the fortune cookie factory was a real kick. We'll take the tour again (warmer) and I have already recommended the tour to 3 people.

This tour to Carmel and surrounding area with Jeff (Golden Gate Getaways) is the best tour we have ever taken. Well worth the money for a private tour. I cannot say enough good about Jeff. We throughly enjoyed his company, knowledge and flexibility in allowing us to alter the tour to meet our wishes. He was Always attentive and his SUV was extremely clean, roomy and comfortable for the long day and had plenty of window space for great viewing. I Highly, Highly recommend Jeff for any touring needs in the California area he covers. He will be the only tour guide we use for any future tours in the San Francisco area. The beauty of this tour is the ability to taylor it to the groups preferences. You do not just have to see what they have planned but can add or subtract as suits your group. Also the opportunities to stay longer or shorter at sights and with the four wheel drive you can go to many places you can not on a coach.

From beginning to end, this was one of the best tour experiences ever. Telephone reservations staff were helpful in confirming the operator's availability on the one day we had available. Pick-up at our Oakland hotel was prompt, the vehicle was new and roomy, and Jeff, our guide, could not have been better. We saw most major Yosemite landmarks, had plenty of time for photos, and generally avoided crowds and traffic tie-ups in the park due to Jeff's superior knowledge. We even spotted a bear and her cub. We went in mid-June, when the timing and weather were perfect - all of the park roads were open and the temperatures were in the high 70's & low 80's. My only caution- because we wanted to see it all, it's a strenous day for seniors or anyone prone to motion sickness due to the altitude and winding roads. Don't miss this wonderful trip.

My husband are locals so we played tourist in SF for the weekend! Our experience with your company was great! We enjoyed the old cars and the smaller group. Our driver and tour guide Patrick,was wonderful and knew SF History and the movies filmed in the area (old and new). We learned things about SF we hadn't heard before!
